![]() Four people from a galleon, we get rammed (two encounters, once without us on our ship, and the next while we were). Honestly reading the original post in this thread again makes it feel like what we ran into last night. I definitely came out of it with the belief that, with skill, the platforms are more equal than in any other game I have played. but each of the 4v4 battles we did they certainly took home some victories. If we had kept score, they did not "win". To be honest, without being "crowded" by the other team the game ended relatively well for them. The last group we parked our galleons side-by-side and spent about an hour fighting from our decks with no bananas, rifle and pistol only, and no hiding below deck. Most of the time when things are done we finish by hanging out. I have fought some really good console players. but suddenly when we want to test the premise skill is mentioned in the criteria for the test. I just think it is odd that the entire backstory of these threads about unfair advantages in crossplay never take skill into account. ![]() You are absolutely correct, and I have no doubt that you are a skilled player Katt :D I believe this was mentioned somewhere recently around E3 time? I am certain however, that Rare are looking at any reports or instances which might cause significant disparity between platforms. That got real long real quick, hope it wasnt too said in PC controls out of Maybe part of the problem is that I'm not a 'skilled' player, never have been or particularly been bothered by not being one, so if I get sunk or killed I just put it down to me being less skillful than others and move on. THAT is why you would test crossplay using equally skilled players, the results would then reflect upon the equipment, not the skill. The same applies to the top end of the scale, a person with excellent reflexes, coordination etc can break the level cap by using superior equipment. PC players however range from 3 to 15 on that same scale.Ī player with equally poor coordination, bad motor control, etc etc starts at level 3 because of the advantages afforded by using aPC. You could describe it as such :Īll xbox players fall on a skill range between 1 and 10ġ=Low experience, poor motor skills, low game time, poor hand-eye coordination, etc etc.ġ0= lots of experience, excellent coordination, good muscle memory, etc etc. There are plenty of things besides kb/m separating players atm. Would you test top tier Xbox vs bottom tier PC skill and expect the results to mean anything? No. He challenged kat to find skilled PC players and test. Skill is the last thing being called into question here.when it should be the first ) why should the test be done with skilled pc players? but the complaint is that all pc players have an advantage. Then regardless of the outcome, report back here with the results. I guarantee you that you won't be able to. Maybe you should then - find a friendly crew of skilled PC players while you're on the Xbox using a standard controller and see if you can keep up with, and shoot, them. I've many many hours sailing the seas and I still don't pay enough attention to the nuances to determine whether another player is on console or pc without asking and I rarely ask. Not the horse wallop you've stated.Īt the same token what of your big-a**e TV? Isn't vision more of an advantage, in a video game, than anything?įunny how you chose to ignore that underlining said in PC controls out of said in PC controls out of said in PC controls out of said in PC controls out of said in PC controls out of Ahoy mate, just a reminder to keep replies respectful. It's gained plenty of compliments, how many has yours? lol You obviously can't see too well as any idiot other than yourself knows that I've created the gametag myself. Īnd you said all of that in the same breath. I can see where your gamertag comes from though. You can't eat bananas and reload at the same time, it's either one or the other. You can't jump and reload at the same time, it's either one or the other. ![]() You can't run and reload at the same time, it's either one or the other.
